Thanksgiving is a time of year for family, friends, and of course gathering around delicious meals. It's also the time of year we practice gratitude for all we have and a sincere appreciation for what's to come.
As we all know, many families in our communities are struggling right now to simply put food on the table. With the holiday season upon us, there may be families and individuals who may not have the means to prepare a wholesome holiday meal.
Several organizations and businesses have partnered this November to offer free, community meals and gatherings to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. I have a list of events in New Iberia, Abbeville, Breaux Bridge, Franklin, and Morgan City happening this holidays season.
Please share this with those you, and those you don't, so that folks who may be in need can gather to celebrate with the community.

Connecting Community Event by Acadiana Needs - New Iberia

Acadiana Needs is partnering with AT&T for the Connecting Community Event this weekend in New Iberia. Join the event for food and other giveaways, food trucks, and connect with community leaders to learn about upcoming initiatives. The event will be set up in the parking lot at 615 E. Admiral Doyle Dr. across from Catholic High.

This November Love of People is celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday with local, community partners to provide 5,000 Thanksgiving meals throughout the Acadiana community. Free meals will be distributed at several locations around Iberia Parish on Thanksgiving Day. You can pick up you meal at one of the following locations:
- West End Park / Community Center - 1200 Field St. New Iberia
- Little Zorah Church in Olivier - 3605 Old Jeanerette Rd.
- Word of Hope Church - 705 W. Admiral Doyle Dr.
- Duperier Ave. & Henry St. - New Iberia
- The Gazebo in Bouligny Plaza - Main Street in downtown New Iberia
- Corner of Hopkins St. and Robertson St. - New Iberia
- Bank St. Park - 1319 Bank Ave. New Iberia
