I hope everyone made out okay with the unexpected downpour we had throughout Acadiana this morning. Several areas received flash flooding and it was just a yucky mess out there! These April showers have surely made their presence known this month haven't they?
We only have a few days left to April, and the month of May is just around the corner! May and June are such busy times for parents, so we're planning a few things for May. Not only is it my birthday next month but I'll also be celebrating four years as the Owner and Publisher of Macaroni KID New Iberia Abbeville Breaux Bridge! It's been a wonderful ride so far, and I'm truly excited to continue to support the wonderful businesses and organizations in New Iberia, Abbeville, Breaux Bridge, and Morgan City.

The Parks Cracklin Cookoff is an annual favorite in St. Martin Parish taking place this April at Cecile Rousseau Poche Memorial Park in Parks. Teams will compete in cook-off as visitors taste the goodies. There will be live music, auction, craft and vendor booths, and activities for the kids. The festival takes place on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26 offering two days of fun.
