Looking for a fun and free way to get your kids moving this spring? Iberia Parish Recreation is stepping up to the plate!
The Jeanerette Sandlot Youth Baseball League is starting this May in Iberia Parish. Make plans to attend the opening ceremonies and support our local youth as they head out on the field.
Opening ceremonies for the Jeanerette Youth Sandlot Baseball League will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Jeanerette City Park located at 1603 Tarelton St., in. Jeanerette. Team line ups will start at 5:30 p.m. with the first pitch happening at 6:00 p.m. sharp. This program is open to both boys and girls with two age brackets:
- Tee Ball for ages 4–6
- Sandlot League for ages 7–9 and 10–13.

Games will be held every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., giving families something fun (and active) to look forward to each week. It’s a great way for kids to build confidence, stay active, and make new friends—without breaking the bank. Even if you don't have young kids playing in the league, make plans to catch a game or two, and join the community to support our local youth.
