One thing you can say about families in Louisiana is we know how to come together to support a local cause and have fun while doing it!

This October, THE TECHE Project is holding the14th annual Shake Your Trail Feather Festival: A celebration of the Bayou Teche Paddle Trail. THE TECHE Project is a nonprofit group who works to enhance the quality of life for communities and recreationalists along the bayou with various events and project throughout the year. The Shake Your Trail Feather Paddle Parade is one of their largest fundraisers that allows them to continue the efforts to support the Bayou Teche corridor.

Tickets to be part of the paddle parade are on sale now via EventBrite. THE TECHE Project would love to have as many families as possible join them for this one-of-a-kind parade that only the bayous of Louisiana can host. Whether you are watching the parade from the banks of the bayou or paddling down stream, everyone is invited to the after party at Parc des Ponts in Breaux Bridge. There is no entry fee to attend the after party!

Did you know that children ages 14 and under can paddle for free?
