Residents in New Iberia and all over Iberia Parish are getting ready to celebrate this September at the annual Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival in downtown New Iberia. For 80 years, the Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival has brought the community together or several days to celebrate our local farmers and crops that support our economy.
The festival takes place on Main Street at Bouligny Plaza from September 21-24, 2023 and offers a wide array of events and activities for families to enjoy. From a Street Fair with carnival rides, to a 5K Run, a Fais Do Do, several parades and the Coronation of Queen Sugar and the Coronation Ball, this event is a staple attraction for New Iberia bringing folks from all over Acadiana and the state of Louisiana to New Iberia to enjoy the hospitality from local residents and businesses in Iberia Parish.
But did you know that is not the only thing that the Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival offers?
