Oh, pizza. How we love you. Yes, even the cauliflower crust pizza too. Pass me another slice, please.
Pizza makes dinner a breeze on the nights when cooking is just not gonna happen. And a shout out to all of us who spend the day running errands and grocery shopping for the week, only to come home with a ready made pizza or order one from a local restaurant.
See, the thing is no one in the family ever complains about pizza night, and pizza is DELICIOUS. Add a side salad, or some veggies and ranch, or marinara sauce for dipping and Voila!... dinner is done!
With the current times as they are, we are trying to support our local restaurants as much as possible. I know many local establishments are struggling, so we all need to ask for an extra slice of graciousness and patience when we order that pizza.
Some may only offer take out or may have limited times of availability, so please keep that in mind and be sure to call ahead and verify if there are any changes. But if you are looking to get some pizza with the family, here are our recommendations for some great pizza spots in our area:

Mr. Gatti's Pizza

What we love: We love the buffet of pizza and salad bar! I try to do more salad than pizza, but hey I'm human! This is a great place to grab lunch with the kids and play a few of the games for some one on one time. My kids love the Dutch Apple pizza dessert.

Paradise Pizza

What we love: I love to try specialty pizzas! My favorites on this list are the Taylor Made and Spinach and Artichoke Pizza. They also offer "take and bake" pizzas for any pizza on their menu! The menu includes other traditional Italian dishes, appetizers salads, sandwiches and desserts as well.
As of this posting, Paradise Pizza is limited to some items on the menu and may not offer dine in so please call before stopping in for a visit.

Calabria Italian Restaurant

What we love: We love the atmosphere of this little gem on Main Street because it feels as if you have stepped into a Italian ristorante on the other side of the world. My daughter kept talking about the Disney movie, The Lady and the Tramp, and loved the Frank Sinatra music playing in the background.
The menu not only offers traditional pizza dishes, but other Italian gems as well. Our favorite is the Meat Lovers Pizza! This make a great place to stop with the family for a night out , makes a great date night without the kids, or just order your meals to go.

What we love: We love that we have a new place to try out! I looked at the menu and immediately began drooling! Just seeing the logo of Eclectic and Italian together, and I knew this place had to be on my get there soon list.
They are located in historic downtown Breaux Bridge and the menu offers things like Swamp Sticks which I must try! They also have options to build your own pizza, sandwiches, salads, and specialty items like pasta dishes and other entrées all with a Cajun flair.
Not to mention the live music schedule to fit in with that pizza or specialty dish you decide to order: Zydeco Breakfast Jam every Saturday morning, live music on Thursday and Fridays evenings, and live music as well on Saturday evenings. They also have an event room, The Glass Room, available for booking your next event.

What we love: It looks like we will have another must try on our pizza list! This Abbeville favorite has been in the area for over 19 years and offers delicious pizzas, calzones, pasta, and more. They also have specialty pizza items like Kicked Up Shrimp or Bacon Cheeseburger pizza. With a perfect mix of family friendly food items as well as the family friendly atmosphere, this place will make for a great stop in the Abbeville area.
