As we head into weekend number two of the month of December, there are still plenty of events happening in New Iberia and the surrounding areas that promise to be a good time for all.
From visits with Santa, to holiday parades and movies, make sure to keep checking in on our calendar on Macaroni Kid New Iberia each week for updates and changes. Keep in mind we do have some potential weather threats happening in our area this weekend, but so far it looks everything is on schedule for this Saturday! It will definitely feel like Christmas around here to once that rainy weather rolls through so be sure to button up the kiddos! 1. Pictures with Santa, New Iberia

Chick-fil-A will be offering free pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus to celebrate the holidays. Polaroid pictures will be provided and//or bring your cameras to take your own! Backdrop will be provided.
2. Abbeville's Cajun Christmas Celebration, Abbeville

Here's a great way to get into the holiday spirit! The community of Abbeville will be hosting their first Cajun Christmas Celebration in downtown Abbeville.
A Christmas parade will begin at 5:30, there will be live entertainment in Magdalen Square including crafts and Santa pictures, and shopping available with local stores and vendors for food and other items for your holiday list.
3. New Iberia Annual Downtown Christmas Parade, New Iberia

The 43rd Annual Christmas Parade in New Iberia on Main Street is the family event of the season. This year things will be a little different as we will have a Boat Parade and fireworks show to boot in Da Berry!
The Main Street parade will begin at 5:30pm at 910 E Main Street (Torrido Village) and end at Jefferson Street by Cane River Pecan Co. The Boat parade will kick-off at 6:00 pm at the Lewis Street Bridge by Bayou Landing and end at the Jefferson Street bridge near Pelicans Restaurant with fireworks to follow.
4. Delcambre 34th Annual Christmas Parade, Delcambre

The annual Main Street Christmas Parade is bringing Santa to Delcambre! Enjoy the music, marching bands and dance groups and get into the holiday spirit. Parade begins on W. Main Street at the corner of Saunier Dr. and ends at the Shrimp Festival Building.
5. The Sweet Melodies of Christmas, Abbeville

St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church will be hosting a holiday concert featuring the voices of the Sunday evening choir and friends. Music will feature contemporary praise and worship, Advent hymns and Christmas favorites!
