We are moving out of the first month of this new year and I don't know about you, but I am ready to be done with this month. January seems to be taking it's time with us in order to fully introduce us to 2022. I love having a little bit of a cold weather snap, you know just enough to break out my favorite sweater and boots, but I have had my fill of the cold weather this winter for sure.
February brings some new events to our area, as well as the much missed Mardi Gras parades and celebrations back to Acadiana. We are also celebrating Black History Month, ringing in the Lunar or Chinese New Year, and of course the holiday that celebrates the ones we love, Valentines Day.

1. Teche Area Festival and Farmers Market

Bring the kids to this fun playtime event at the Main Library on Main Street in New Iberia. Open for ages 1 through 5 years old to help them get the wiggles out.

Join the Main Library in New Iberia for this fun filled event. Geared for ages 11 through 15 years old, the kids will enjoy games, crafts, and activities that will teach all about Ancient Greece. You will have to register in advance for this event.
