Happy February!
This month brings tons of events for us to celebrate! Our beloved Mardi Gras celebrations around Acadiana, the Winter Olympics, the Super Bowl, and of course celebrating the ones we love on Valentines Day! Of course the big recommendation this week for us in New Iberia is happening this weekend! The Bayou Mardi Gras Association Mardi Gras parade is happening in downtown New Iberia this weekend. Now I don't know about you but I am so happy that our parade seemingly is the one that kicks off the carnival season parades in Acadiana every year. It may be a little chilly Saturday but hey, we are from Louisiana! And I know I am not the only one that has stayed outside bundled up for some good throws!

All Month Long at Iberia Parish Libraries
The American Girl Doll raffle is back at all Iberia Parish libraries. This year's doll is Makena. You can purchase raffle tickets beginning February 1st through the 28th. The drawing for the winner will be on March 1st. Tickets are $1 each or $3 for 5 tickets. This is a great way to support the Friends of the Library for Iberia Parish and take a chance at getting a this amazing doll for your favorite cute.
2. Markets At Ramada Sweetheart Event

3. Bayou Mardi Gras Parade in Downtown New Iberia

It's Mardi Gras time in New Iberia and our Main Street parade is back this year! The parade will roll starting at 6pm, following the traditional route through downtown New Iberia.
4. Delcambre Seafood and Farmers Market

The monthly farmer's market for 2022 is back in Decalmbre starting this weekend. The monthly farmer's market features great deals on fresh seafood, live music, and food.
5. Junior Friends Group Meeting

Do you have a preteen or teenager looking to develop leadership skills and learn how to become involved in our community? Then make sure to register them for the Junior Friends Monthly Meetings at the Main Library for Iberia Parish. The members help with decision making for different charitable projects, fundraising ideas, programs, and volunteer opportunities, which are exclusive to Junior Friends members.
