So who made it out to the parade last weekend? I had a blast at the Bayou Mardi Gras parade with my kiddos and their friends! It was cold but we just added some extra layers, jackets, hats, and gloves and danced with the bands as they went by! I loved seeing the smiles and excitement on all the kids faces as the parade went by. That for me is what Mardi Gras is all about! I don't think I will ever get tired of seeing a parade!

5. Grand Marais Mardi Gras Children’s Dance

2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
A children's dance for Mardi Gras fun will be held at Mon Ami in Jeanerette. There will be a costume contest and judging will take place at 4:30 p.m. Winners will be announced and will have the opportunity to ride in the parade.
