Well we knew it was coming.. the Mardi Gras, or Deep Gras as we here in Louisiana know it to be. Being born and raised in New Orleans, as a adult and as a child, the Thursday before Mardi Gras until Mardi Gras day was a complete whirlwind! It was non-stop activity for us, sometimes catching the same parade in two or three different spots! Now, I am completely pooped out and need a whole day to recover after the Youngsville Parade!

This is always a family fun time for us! We love hanging out with the crowd in Youngsville to catch some throws and eat some good food! This year the parade is 120 units strong! Get there early though, roads will close at 9:30 into the city.

Celebrate Mardi Gras in Morgan City! Parade begins on 2nd Street under the La. 182 bridge and proceeds to Onstead Street continuing down Sixth St. to Marguerite St., Ninth St./Hwy.70, Clothilde to onto Victor II Blvd. and ending at the Morgan City Auditorium.
