Hold my margarita please!
We have a lot to celebrate this week! Today is Cinco de Mayo and I know many will be heading out to their favorite Mexican restaurant to celebrate or maybe cooking up a fiesta at home. I'll admit I did not know a lot about the holiday so I did some digging. While you are enjoying those margs, read up on the history behind the holiday.
After this we of course move into celebrating Mother's Day this weekend. I can tell you, as a mom, what most of us really want is a hug and a thank you! We get so busy in the everyday life of being the mom, that sometimes our efforts go unnoticed or taken for granted.
Also, please keep in mind, this day is not always an easy day or a celebration for some. Many have lost their mothers, or maybe a child, or they may have had a difficult childhood with their mother, or have broken relationships with family that may make celebrating this day feel daunting. So, whether you grab your own mother, or a mother figure to you, a step-mom, a dog-mom, or any other mother that you know, make sure to simply say thank you and give her a hug! I promise it will go along way!
