Macaroni KID New Iberia Recommends

Our Top Picks Happening In and Around New Iberia 6/2/22

By Tracie Ysaguire, Publisher for Macaroni KID New Iberia June 2, 2022

Hellooo June!

The summer months are officially kicking off this week and the heat wave is on its way. I must admit, I am a fall/autumn type of girl, but I do enjoy the summer months, as long as I have a cold drink in my hand!

We are kicking off the month of June this week and that means we have a whole new month of holidays and events to take part in! Read all about the upcoming holidays this June.

I am super excited to be participating in an event happening this weekend with The Frosted Apron so come out and say Hi! I did my first TV appearance this week with News 15 and The Frosted Apron talking about the event and Macaroni KID New Iberia. I was so nervous but I must say Al and the crew made me feel right at home! Feel free to watch that interview here to learn more about the event.

The Po-boys and Puppies event is happening Saturday, June 4 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm to support the animals of IPAC. Pets will be available for adoption, Macaroni KID New Iberia will have an animal craft for the kids to make, National Welding Supply will be providing free BBQ sausage po-boys, and there will be live music by the talented Jaxon Meche.

You can also try your luck at winning cupcakes by participating in a cupcake walk, then stop by the bunny petting station to receive bunny snuggles. Shadows on the Teche will also be providing fun games for the kids to do during the event. There will also be a fun jump provided by Cajun Fun Inflatables, and of course a Meet & Greet with animals of IPAC who are looking for their fur-ever homes.

The event is free to attend however we are asking if each family could bring at least one or more items from this list:
Purina Cat or Kitten Chow,
Diamond Puppy Food,
Purina (Can) Kitten or Puppy Food,
Royal Canon Nursing Mom or Kitten Transition Food,
and Kitten or Puppy Powder Milk.

The shelter is also in urgent need of donations to help with vet bills. If you would like to help, donations can be called into All Creatures Vet in New Iberia at 337-365-9060 under the IPAC 2 account, or via PayPal to animalsofipac@gmail.com. Any amount is greatly appreciated!
