We are rounding out the month of August very quickly! As I type this, we have some really dark clouds rolling in and the forecast for the next few days looks to be rainy! While I love the rain and I know it is needed, we were looking forward to the Delcambre Shrimp Festival this weekend. Looks like we will be dancing in the rain!
And speaking of festivals, this weekend is just the beginning of the fall festival season in Iberia Parish and all around Acadiana. As I began to list out the upcoming festivals, I decided to create the 2022 Fall Food and Music Festival Guide for you to have all the info in one place. Be sure to check it out and come back often. This Monday, August 22nd is National Tooth Fairy Day. While the tooth fairy does not visit our house anymore, I love these fairy houses and want to build one in our backyard! This is a great activity to do with your kids of any age. Let us know if you build one!
While in Ruston a few weeks ago, we saw tons of signs and sales for the famous Ruston peaches. I had no idea that Ruston was so known for their peaches, and honestly thought that it was just an Atlanta thing. Whether you get your peaches from Ruston, Rouses, or Atlanta, be sure to check out this fun peach leather treat you can make at home. It is the perfect snack for after school or for a lunchbox surprise.
Of course, we all know that we spend the majority of our lives online.
