By Tracie Ysaguire, Publisher for Macaroni KID New Iberia January 28, 2023

Do your kids love to draw? Then, get them to enter the youth art contest happening now at the Iberia Parish Library to celebrate Black History Month this February.

The contest is called Great Portraits or Scenes in Local or National African American History: A Youth Art Festival and is open to all students in Iberia Parish. You can collect an entry form from any Iberia Parish Library branch to submit your drawing and student information. Entries are being collected from January 11, 2023 through February 23, 2023 and can be turned in to any school library, any Iberia Parish Library Branch, City Park or West End Park Centers.

The winners will be selected and published in The Daily Iberian so all drawings must either be in black or dark crayon, market, or ink.
