Who's ready for April?
I am looking forward to the festivals we have this month in New Iberia, with one of my favorites kicking off tomorrow, The Books Along the Teche Literary Festival. There will be free and paid events happening all weekend around New Iberia for book fans of all ages. Be sure to support our local community and show all those visitors your New Iberia hospitality.
If you are ready to wrap up March and move right into the April celebrations, we have several religious holidays, like Easter and Passover, as well as many other causes to bring awareness to this month. Check out 10 April Holidays & Occasions Not To Miss. If you have any holidays or national days you would like to see featured in the upcoming months, please let us know!
Easter events are hopping all around New Iberia and Acadiana this weekend and next. Have you gotten your letter from the Easter Bunny yet? There is still time so hop to it! We also have another easy, Easter craft you can do with the kids this week with these DIY Salt Dough Easter Eggs.
As we move into the latter part of the school year, our students will be preparing for final exams and end-of-year tests which may bring some unwanted anxiety to them. We have a great list of books for elementary school children to read that may help them with test anxiety. Getting your child to read stories about other kids their age will help them realize they are not alone when it comes to being nervous before taking those big tests.
And we have an oldy but goodie to share with you this week! April Fools' Day is this Saturday so here are 7 Silly April Fools' Day Pranks To Play On Your Kids.
Now, on to our recommendations for your family fun this week:
