Feeling Stressed? Lost…Tired…Overextended? Discouraged? Need more rest and wellbeing?
I had the pleasure to meet Susan Buller of Bayou Lotus Wellness last week to talk about some of the things that make us feel...well all of the above!
For many, the daily stress of managing a home, a full time job, raising children, or helping family members can cause stress to take a front seat in their lives. We get so caught up in the how, the why, and the when that we often create more stress for ourselves to manage. Not managing the indications of stressors in your life can lead to further medical issues for some and can often stop us from truly enjoying our lives.
There are a few things you can do to create mindfulness each day and help you to better manage the stress and/or discouragement that could come up. For example, try a few things such as:
Daily Meditation
Ensuring to get a good night's sleep so you wake up rested
Cutting back on screen time from smartphones, tablets, and computers whenever you can (No more TikTok before bedtime!)
Daily walks or exercise routines
Cutting back on overly processed foods and junk items and making healthier choices like more fruits and veggies
Implementing just taking a few of these simple steps can be a starting point for you and will help you create a healthier routine that allows for better stress management.
How do you relieve feelings of stress and feeling overextended?
