Halloween Free Fun: 10 Haunted Attractions for Teens this Halloween

Check out these 10 haunted attractions for teens and families to enjoy that won't break the bank

By Tracie Ysaguire, Publisher for Macaroni KID New Iberia October 27, 2023

Halloween weekend is finally upon us and we have no shortage of spooky scares and fun family events happening this October from New Iberia to Morgan City.

When it comes to Halloween, it seems the number of local events gets bigger, however so does the cost of celebrating. From costumes to candy, and scary props and decorations, Halloween has become one of the most expensive holidays for American families to celebrate. And for families with multiple children, these costs can add up quickly.

While trunk or treats and fall festivals are usually great for younger children and their families, our teens are also looking for things to do this weekend that are not going to break the bank or their parent's wallets. Being a mother to two teenagers, I decided to do some digging this week and I found several attractions in and around New Iberia that are free or low-cost for our teens to enjoy.

Many of the attractions are also being set up to support local community organizations like local food banks and the St. Jude Foundation, so it's a way to enjoy the weekend with your teens and give back at the same time.

From New Iberia to Morgan city, here are 10 local, free or low-cost haunted attractions to enjoy with your teens this weekend through Halloween night:
