There's Winter Wonderland Coming to New Iberia this December!

Come waltz in a winter wonderland with Iberia Parish 4H and the Junior Leaders Program

By Mikayla Barletto, President of Iberia Parish 4H Junior Leaders Program November 24, 2023
Attention all 4H students in 4th-6th grade in Iberia Parish

Mikayla Barletto, the President of the Iberia Parish Junior Leaders Club, would like to invite these students to dance the night away at the annual Winter Wonderland Dance hosted by the Iberia 4-H Junior Leader Club!

4-H is an organization that is centralized around youth and focuses its classes and programs on teaching leadership, civic engagement, and vocal presentation skills.

This organization gets the kids active and creative all at the same time. From hands-on activities to educational programs and talks, your child will always leave a 4-H meeting or gathering with a fun fact that they are dying to tell you!

Our Iberia Parish Junior Leader Club is for 7th-12th graders. We do all kinds of community service projects, volunteer with other organizations in Iberia Parish, and host events in our community. This club opens up many opportunities for high schoolers to be presented with scholarships and college recognition and is directly tied to Louisiana State University.

Our Winter Wonderland Dance is an annual dance hosted by the Iberia Parish Junior Leader Club for our 4th-6th grade students. Here is some information about our dance:

When:    Friday, December 1st, 2023 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Where:  Willow Wood Park Building. 113 Willow Wood Drive, New  Iberia, LA
Cost:      $5.00 Per Person

You must have a ticket from your 4-H leader to attend and you must make sure to completely fill out your ticket information with parent's contact information. Students are allowed to bring one guest who is also 4th-6th grade and can pay for their entry at the door. Your guest does not have to be a 4-H member!

There will be no chains or laser pointers allowed into the dance. All attendees must be dressed in school-appropriate clothes. You do not have to wear your uniform, but no holes in your jeans, no bare midriff shirts, or flip flops will be allowed. Be sure to bring extra money for concessions. Also, parents are welcome to attend as chaperones.

For safety reasons, all members must be signed in and out by parents/guardians.
