April has basically come .. and gone! As we wrap up the end of April next week, we are excited to announce yet another giveaway for our subscribers as we move into May. I love this time of year because of all the beautiful blooms and plants that come to life in New Iberia. 1. Festival International - Downtown Lafayette 

Friday, April 26, 2024 through Sunday, April 28, 2024

The event that celebrates music, food, and culture from all around the world is back in downtown Lafayette this spring making it one of the best FREE festivals in the world! Celebrate with food, meeting up friends, children's events and activities, a vendor and craft show, live music, and so much more! 


2. Neighborhood Block Party - Church on the Rock, New Iberia 

Friday
April 26, 2024
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The community is invited to join the fun at Church on the Rock in New Iberia at the Neighborhood Block Party. There will be food, fun, an outdoor movie and free clothing and shoes for those who attend. 


3. Beauty and the Beast Auditions at Iberia Performing Arts League (IPAL)

Friday, April 26, 2024, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Saturday, April 27th from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon 

IPAL will be holding auditions for the upcoming youth production, Beauty and the Beast. Auditions are open to children between the ages of 10 and 19 years of age. Connect with IPAL to register your child for auditions and get more information. 


4. Festival of Live Oaks - City Park - New Iberia

Saturday
April 27, 2024
9:00 am - 3:00 pm 

It will be a busy day in City Park! The community is invited to join in on the fun with a BBQ Cook-off, live music, craft booths with local vendors, petting zoo, train rides, fun jump and more. Bring your chairs and blankets and plan for a day of family fun in New Iberia. The Festival of the Live Oaks will now run in conjunction with the New Iberia Spring Vendor and Craft Event.

If you're in town, be sure to stick around for the Downtown Art Walk happening in New Iberia later in the evening! 


5. Po-boys & Puppies - Fundraiser for IPAC - New Iberia 

Saturday
April 27, 2024
11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Let's get together and have some fun, while helping the sweet furbabies in our community at the same time. Come out and support IPAC, enjoy free BBQ sausage po-boys, face painting and fun for the kids, and live music by Jason Meche. 

There is no cost to enter but we are asking if each family to bring at least one or more items from this list:
