I was back in action on our bi-weekly crafting segment with Alex Worstell this week on Good Day Acadiana. Again, it was another fun day as we incorporated a lesson into a craft. Another way to incorporate learning and fun is stargazing at night! Make plans to savor the last days of summer and head to the backyard for a campout. This will be the perfect week! 2. Latanier Cookers: Dutch Oven Monthly Gathering - Palmetto Island State Park - Abbeville

Join the Latanier Cookers Dutch Oven Group at Pavilion #1 near the splash pad area at Palmetto Island State Park for the monthly Dutch Oven Gathering. Enjoy fellowship and tasting side dishes and desserts with the community. Tasting begins around 11:00 am.
Paper plates and individually wrapped utensils will be provided. No charge for tasting. Donations are always welcome.
3. Paperback Book Sale - Iberia Parish Library - Main Branch

The Friends of the Library will be having a Paperback Book Sale at the Main Library this weekend. Items on sale will include paperbacks, children's and teen books, DVDs, and books on CD. Everything will be 25 cents! All proceeds goes to the Friends of the Library.
4. Acadian Culture Day at Vermilionville - Lafayette
