Hello Macaroni KID Families!

Spooky season is almost here as we approach the arrival of October next week. Can you believe it? Now that we have officially moved into the fall season, we are ready to release one of our guides to help you plan your fall family fun. Be sure to get the details of fall festivals happening in the four parish areas we cover for St. Mary, Iberia, Vermilion, and St. Martin in Music, Food, Family, and FUN: Welcome to Our 2024 Fall Festival Guide. Make sure to tell them you heard about it on Macaroni KID New Iberia!

We even listed a few other festivals in Louisiana because we know our state has a festival for just about everything! We'll add more events to the guide over the month so be sure to check back for new events. Also, stay tuned next week as we release the 2024 Halloween Family Fun Guide for all the details on the trunk-or-treats, pumpkin patches, and other family-friendly fall events to keep your weekends busy for the month of October. We also have a list of 5 Fun Things We’re Doing This Fall with Our Family to help you plan some activities with your kids. This is always the busy time of the year!

One of the festivals happening next month Shake Your Trail Feather takes place on land and water. Happening on Bayou Teche in Breaux Bridge, Shake Your Trail Feather is a festival that offers music, food, a paddle parade, and an after party in Parc des Ponts in Breaux Bridge. Get the details on how to be a part of this annual celebration to support Bayou Teche and The T.E.C.H.E Project

If you have a preschooler and are looking for some ideas for easy, fun fall crafts, then be sure to check out Discover, Learn, & Create: 3 Fall Crafts for a Curious Preschooler. These crafts are easy for them to do and will keep them entertained while also helping them develop creativity and work on fine motor skills.

As we move into October, that means a new set of holidays and causes to recognize on our calendars. Taco Bell and the National Day Calendar have officially spiced things up by moving National Taco Day from October 4 to the first Tuesday of October each year. So we also have 3 Quick Taco Recipes for Busy Families for you to try for dinner. Let us know which is your favorite.
