Last week I went to the Giant Omelette Festival in Abbeville for the first time and I must say really enjoyed it!
We went Sunday afternoon to watch the chefs prepare the 5,000+ eggs and fixings into one huge meal. The setup around downtown Abbeville was superb as we strolled along Magdalen Square shopping with the vendors, enjoyed the live music from Geno Delafose & French Rockin' Boogie, and chatted with other festival goers who make this event an annual family tradition. I will definitely be back for this one!

We have a fun craft this week that I remember making as a child all the time. It's an easy, free printable that just takes a few steps to make. We called them fortune tellers and Macaroni KID has put a gratitude spin on them to encourage kids to show appreciation, even for the little things in life. Download yours here!
This week are are spotlighting our winner from the National Boss Day contest held last month, Kayla and All Creatures Veterinary Hospital in New Iberia. Find out their business, available services for your pets, and the specials for November and December.
November is recognized as National Adoption Month and we have the personal story of one family's journey with adoption. Read all about their story, get tips on the adoption process, how to use positive language about adoptions, and other resources.
And for all the pumpkin lovers, we have several great recipes to try this holiday season in Make the Most of Pumpkin Season with these Family Favorite Recipes. I can't make up my mind between the mini pumpkin pies or the pumpkin chili. I guess I will have to try both and let you know!
