Ready for July? I can not believe how fast this summer seems to be flying by.
As parents, summertime can easily be overlooked as we continue to work, run errands, take care of the kids and the obligations we need to. But sometimes, I just want to curl up with a book by the pool, and forget that I'm the MOM! 😁
This is just a reminder that you too, parents, need to enjoy some down time over the summer whether it is with the kids, your spouse, your friends, or even by yourself. Make sure mom and dad have a chance to unwind and let loose a bit under the summer sun, too! Check our event calendar for local outings and events that would make for a fun night away!

1. Cardboard Boat Regatta - Spanish Lake Boat Shop - New Iberia
Families in New Iberia are invited to the Cardboard Boat Regatta this June at Spanish Lake Bait Shop in New Iberia. There will also be additional fun for the kids like a sack race, egg on wooden spoon race, corn hole, face painting, and more. $2.00 per car.
2. Bayou Vista Indoor Craft Market & Family Fun Day - Bayou Vista Community Center - Morgan City

The June Indoor Market is a Family Fun Day and will feature fun jumps, dunk-a-fireman, food and craft vendors and more. Kids can also enjoy the spray park to cool off from all the summer fun. Free.

Grab the family and head to The Main Cup in Loreauville for Candy Bar Bingo to support the Our Lady of Victory Food Pantry. This fun, family event is held to support our community with a sweet morning of fun! 3 Full Sized Candy Bars is all you need to play! Please bring 1 canned good or shelf item to donate to the food pantry.
4. Village Lemonade Day- Loreauville

This is a family-friendly, community event to support the entrepreneurial spirit of the youth in Iberia Parish. Families are encouraged to participate either via setting up their own lemonade stand or by shopping the the ones set up for the day. Free.
5. Erath 4th of July Celebration - Downtown Erath

The fun begins on Monday, June 30, 2025 and runs until Friday, July 4, 2025. There will be several days of events and activities planned including carnival rides, live music, a 5k fun run, a hometown parade, fireworks, and much more. Free.
