The first National Trust for Historic Preservation site in the Gulf South, The Shadows is a Classic Revival-style home with a Louisiana Colonial floor plan and a garden that is as breathtaking as the history preserved here.
Tours are given from the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Guided tours begin 15 minutes past the hour, beginning at the visitor center, at 320 East Main Street, across the street from historic home.
The Visitor Center features a museum shop, orientation film and exhibits. The majority of the site is accessible to persons with limited mobility. Closed major holidays. Please call for the most updated details.
