The Iberia Parish Parks and Recreation Department operates 18 parks for families to enjoy throughout Iberia Parish. Their recreation programs cover a wide range of events from day camps, sports programs, rental facilities, community classes and much more. The community is welcomed to use the available ballfields and courts for several sports including including softball, baseball, soccer, football, tennis, pickleball and cornhole.
They also manage the Iberia RV Resort which is a RV campground that offers families the opportunity to rent RV spots, enjoy a lazy river and pool, and other events during the year. The public can also purchase swim passes for designated dates and times during the summer season. They also hold a summer concert series for for families to enjoy.
Throughout the year the Iberia Parish Parks and Recreation Department also host family-friendly events during the holiday seasons to foster community relationships with businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations.
The Iberia Parish Parks and Recreation Department also manages several event venues through out Iberia Parish that are available to rent for weddings, community programs, and other programs. The main office is located at 113 Willow Wood Drive in New Iberia from Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:00pm. And on Friday, from 8:30 am - 12:00 noon.
