The Acadiana Home School Athletics (AHSA) offers sports for homeschooled youth in Acadiana. The organization offers sport such as Cross Country, Tennis, Soccer, Track and Field, and the newest addition in 2024, Volleyball for both boys and girls in the area.
Children from middle school through high school have the opportunity to engage these sports programs to offer an outlet for fun and learning outside of academic studies. They will have the opportunity to learn about teamwork, and camaraderie, and build lasting friendships. Homeschool sports teams offer a beneficial avenue for recreation, and physical well-being, as well as assist with overall development for children.
AHSA mission according to their website is:
"AHSA strives to provide a constructive and positive sport’s opportunity for the educational, physical, spiritual, and social growth of home school students in the Acadiana area. AHSA has purposed the organization and all of its activities and publications to be consistently and forthrightly Christian as we give glory and honor of our Lord Jesus Christ. AHSA recognizes, respects, and welcomes all Christian affiliations as we are One Body in Christ."
