The annual Bayou Teche Black Bear Festival is back this April on the banks of Bayou Teche in beautiful downtown Franklin. This festival incorporates education on the black bear population in St. Mary Parish and fun family activities into one event.
Throughout the day there will be several activities the entire family, including live music, kid's activities, arts and crafts vendors, kayak and canoe tours, a 5K Walk/Run and more. The children's activities will take place at the Blevins Building Garage at 600 Main Street across from the courthouse from 10:00 am- 5:00 pm.
