Palmetto State Park is happy to announce the new Story Walk on the Kid's Trail at the park. The book, Boudreaux and the Louisiana Mosquiteaux, is now featured on the trail from September 1st through September 30. On Saturday, September 14, at 10:00 am, you can meet the author, Stacey Bearden, at the park and hike the Kid's Trail while reading his new book.
The Dutch Oven Gathering is also taking place this weekend held by the Latanier Cookers. They will be offering free samples of Jambalaya and other dutch oven treats.

The event is open to the public, however regular park entrance fees and rules apply.
