Celebrate the Year of the Snake the annual Louisiana Lao New Year Festival this April!
This annual festival is held Easter weekend at the Wat Thammarattanaram Temple in Lanexang Village which borders Iberia Parish, the town of Coteau, and the Broussard area, offering an authentic experience of Southeast Asia food, music and culture.
Enjoy watching the traditional Lao celebrations of dance, live music, a parade, and plenty of local and traditional Lao food. The public is invited to attend to participate in the fun during the celebrations and tour the temple grounds when open.
Free public parking and shuttles will be offered during the parade day. The parade will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025. On Sunday, April 20, 2025 is the Sand Stupa Building and Water Festival.
