Description
The annual Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival takes place over five days at the end of August and runs until Labor Day each year in Morgan City.
To celebrate the 90th anniversary of this family favorite festival and events, Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church will host an exhibit in their Fellowship Hall beginning August 19, 2025 which will run through festival weekend.
The exhibit will showcase the history of the event, the founding of the festival and special memories from previous years, and the members of the shrimp and petroleum industry. This is exhibit is set to honor all those who have worked hard in community to keep the festival running, attracting locals and visitors to Louisiana each year.
