The St. Mary Parish Public School System will be participating in a new Louisiana program, SunBucks. This summer EBT program improves food access to children over the summer break.

The program will provide families with $120.00 for each eligible school-aged child, ages 5 through 18 years of age, for the purpose of purchasing groceries while school is out. Most families who are already on the free or reduced lunch program will automatically be enrolled in the SunBucks program, however some may need to apply.

If your household already participates in SNAP, TANF, Medicaid (income eligible), you will automatically be enrolled in the the Summer EBT program and do not need to fill out an application. If you do not participate in these other programs but feel you may be eligible, you can apply for the SunBucks/Summer EBT program by filling out an application. To apply, be sure to check back with the Department of Children and Family Services for an application later in June.
