Macaroni KID New Iberia Recommends

Our Top Picks Happening In and Around New Iberia This Week

By by Tracie Ysaguire, Publisher for Macaroni KID New Iberia September 30, 2022

Welcome, October!

In just a few short days, we officially move into a new month and the last quarter of 2022. The events in and around New Iberia happening this month have me buzzing with excitement! I am pulling some serious overtime to keep our event calendar Halloween & Fall Family Fun Guide updated since there are new announcements every day! This is the busiest time of the year for sure, and with the taste of beautiful fall weather we have had this week, I know I am not the only one who is craving to be outside and around town.

We love to share fun recipes and crafts that you can do with the kids, but we all know that time can be an issue. If you are looking for a few quick, fun ways to give the kids a surprise in the kitchen this Halloween, be sure to try these: Four Kooky Halloween Recipes.

Next week is also the celebration of Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur is the Jewish holiday of atonement that involves fasting and prayer. Once the fasting is over, the celebration with food and family begins. Here is an easy treat you can try with your family as well to get a taste of what goodies Yom Kippur can bring.

Halloween is not the only celebration we have happening this month. For a list of other events and holidays to celebrate or acknowledge with your family, be sure to read 10 October Events and Holidays You'll Want to Know More About
