This week we are focusing on all the love for our friends, families, and followers from New Iberia to Morgan City!
My family and I had a lot to celebrate this week as it was my twin's birthday and we received some amazing news for one of them this week too. My daughter, Mikyala, was one of the four students chosen in Louisiana to be a student delegate to the 2024 National 4H Conference taking place in Washington, DC this April. These students will spend a year in their roles learning more about how they can help their local 4H program and be an impact advocating for their community. Mikayla will be representing Iberia Parish and this is the first time a student from Iberia Parish has been chosen! I could not be more proud of her! We will be detailing more about her role and the conference in future editions.
We also celebrated Valentine's Day this week on our crafting segment with Alex Worstell on Good Day Acadiana. We made super cute, easy Candy Critters using basic crafting supplies and candy. Find out how you can make these with your kids at home.
Celebrating Valentine's Day can get expensive so if you are looking for easy ideas to tell your loved one just how much you love them, check out 3 Simple Ways To Say 'I Love You' On Valentine's Day from one of our Macaroni KID publishers. We also have a great article on creating a Valentine's Sensory bin for the little ones. This is a great idea for parents of littles. It's a great way for them to have fun and enjoy learning how to be creative.
It's almost the end of the Mardi Gras season with this upcoming weekend being the big parade weekend before Fat Tuesday. If you are in the mood for some sweet inspiration for your Mardi Gras morning, check out this recipe for DIY Beignets. Let us know if you try it!
And since we are all about the L VE this week, we are super excited to be hosting a giveaway for our subscribers!
