I am so shocked at how fast this summer is flying by!
It's already time for Independence Day celebrations and events. Before you know it, the kids will be back on the school bus. Make sure to get as many family fun days as you can before summer is completely gone! We'll be here each week to offer ideas and suggestions from events or kid's crafts you can do at home.
Our craft on Good Day Acadiana this week is a perfect suggestion for an indoor fun day. Try to Create Summer Fun Décor with Common Everyday Items You Have at Home Let us know if you make them!
If you do decide to brave the heat from one of our weekly suggestions on the Macaroni KID New Iberia event calendar, please make sure to talk to your children about the importance of staying hydrated. And finally, as we wrap up the month of June this weekend, I wanted to mention June is recognized as Men's Health Month. It's usually the men in our lives who don't make their health as big a priority as it should be. As women, we know it's more likely our health will be regularly addressed because of childbirth. But there have been breakthroughs that have recently been making the news regarding male birth control that could put the men in our lives in a more active role in family planning. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
