We had a party this week in the studio with Alex Worstell on News 15 Today and our special guest, Stacey Dempsey of The Frosted Apron for our biweekly crafting segment.
It was a full-on party in the studio and we came up with two great ideas for you to use for your Halloween fun in this week's newsletter that are inexpensive, easy, and most importantly FUN! Get the all details in these two articles: Halloween Treat Bags: An Easy Halloween Craft for Kids to Make at Home and Create Magic with Pumpkin Scarecrow Cupcakes from The Frosted Apron.
As we head into the final days of October, please know that our event calendar is FULL of events happening from New Iberia to Morgan City. I promise there is an event for every family who is looking for fall fun on the weekends!
October is recognized as the month we all "think pink" and bring awareness to the debilitating disease of breast cancer and support those battling it. More than likely every other subscriber knows of someone who has fought this battle. We have some tips for you this week in How to Decrease Your Breast Cancer Risk: Advice From a Surgeon. Please make sure to share this with everyone you love. Also, the Lydia Cancer Association is having their Love, Cure, Awareness 2023 Ride next weekend in New Iberia. Make plans to attend, donate, or head out to support those participating.
With all the events coming up this month, as well as the upcoming holiday season I know many busy parents are looking for easy, quick tips for feeding the kids before heading out for the day or once they get home after a busy one. You can always check our site, click on Articles, and type 'Recipes' in the Categories bar to find plenty of ideas. We have a new one to add this week for breakfast: How To Make Shortcut Sheet Pan Pancakes. I will definitely give this a try at one of my daughter's next sleepover parties.
I've been including the 2023 Halloween Guide in the newsletter each week because I am continuing to add more events each week and I don't want you to miss a thing! Make sure to keep coming back to check out all the fall and Halloween fun that is happening in Iberia, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion parishes this October.
Now, on to our recommendations for your family fun this week:
