From the crazy high winds, to the street flooding from the heavy rainfall on Monday in New Iberia, we are surely getting the full effect of spring showers in New Iberia.
However, there are still so many events and activities for local families to enjoy as we head into the second week of April. Make sure to check with local event organizers before heading out. 1. Books Along the Teche Literary Festival - Downtown New Iberia
Friday, April 4, 2025 through Sunday, April 6, 2025
Celebrate in downtown New Iberia with the Books Along the Teche Literary as they support the city of New Iberia, southern writers and Louisiana culture. The festival begins on Friday, April 4, 2025 and runs through Sunday, April 6, 2025. The three day festival will offer meet and greets with authors, prized local chefs, panel discussions, contests and other family-friendly events. There are several free events for the public to enjoy as well as paid/ticketed events available for purchase.
Symphony in the Park will also take place this weekend in New Iberia. This annual free event will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 3:00 pm inside the Cyr Gates Center.
2. French Table at Teche Center for the Arts - Breaux Bridge
