We have been busy, busy, bees over here at the home base getting ready for our kiddos to head back to school only a few short weeks away. We are a homeschooling family and it honestly is a whole other world of planning and learning for me as a mother with twin teenage daughters.
My girls will be entering their junior year of high school and I simply don't know where the time went. We started homeschooling when my girls were in middle school and I vividly remember telling them, before you know it, you will be in high school. And now, they are even closer to being done with high school altogether. Sigh...

I was super excited earlier this week to find out that our friends at Louisiana Spirits will be putting New Iberia in the spotlight with the first-ever Para-Con. We are proud to be a sponsor and are working closely with the team to make this a huge success for New Iberia. We are working on adding more vendors, paranormal celebs, and highlighting our community in a way that has never been done before. The Cajun Country Para-Con will take place on March 23, 2024, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in beautiful downtown New Iberia. As we wrap up July, the final days to enter the giveaway for Walt Disney World fans is coming to an end. If you would like to enter for a chance for you and your family to win a vacation package from Macaroni KID to Walt Disney World Resort, you have until July 31, 2023, to enter.
We also did our bi-weekly crafting segment on News 15 with The Morning Show for our younger audience this week and made adorable sensory bags for your at-home learning fun. These are great for toddlers and preschoolers to learn at home while having fun. Be sure to find out how you can make your own sensory bags with your younger children. But honestly, a studio full of grown adults had fun playing with these bags as well!
Be sure to check out this healthy granola recipe from the vault too! This will make a great after-school snack and also offer a healthy option to add to your child's lunch box this school year.
